enCOMPASSion is primarily a social organisation, focused on building sustainable futures through nurturing resilience in communities. Across the world, communities thrive when relationships are stronger. Our focus is to bring the consciousness and processes of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) to the grassroots in India, to build communities that thrive even in chaos and crisis.
Project Asha
enCOMPASSion aims to work in-depth with communities towards Community Resilience: i.e. the capacity to collaborate, communicate, and care for each other. Focusing on learning through active participation and changemaking, this project transcends pervasive patterns of charity and one-sided giving, and focuses on sharing ownership of resources, strategies, and outcomes with the community members as stakeholders. Our core aim with “community driven changemaking” is to empower resilient, forward-moving communities that can assess their own needs, devise their own solutions, and take responsibility for their future generations.
Humanitarian Relief
When ground realities posit threats to physical sustenance and survival, enCOMPASSion also responds to emergency needs, working collaboratively with organisations, individuals, and communities to support the most vulnerable and deeply impacted groups.
