Madhukar Shukla

Madhukar Shukla (Social Development Practitioner) brings with him over 4 decades of experience in psychology, change management, and social entrepreneurship. He holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from Lucknow University and a PhD in personality psychology from IIT Kanpur. He is also a Professional Member of ISABS (Indian Society of Applied Behavioural Sciences).

Over the years, Madhukar has worked as a trainer/consultant with multi-national organizations, social ventures, and government agencies in the field of change management. He has about four decades of experience as a consultant with the National Productivity Council and as a professor/faculty with Administrative Staff College of India and XLRI Jamshedpur.

Madhukar was also one of the founding members of the Advisory Council of University Network for Social Entrepreneurship, founded by Ashoka: Innovators for the Public and Skill Center for Social Entrepreneurship, University of Oxford. He has served as an assessor for the Echoing Green Fellowship Competition, a global competition to identify social entrepreneurs, and as the jury for the Oikos Case Competition on Social Entrepreneurship. He was also the Conference Coordinator of the National Conference on Social Entrepreneurship during 2009-17.

In addition to his vast experience and expertise, Madhukar is also the author of four books, including “Social Entrepreneurship in India: Quarter Idealism and a Pound of Pragmatism” (Sage Publication, 2020).

Chand Narayan

Chand Narayan is an accomplished professional with over 25 years of experience in Engineering, Services, Media, Consulting, and Training organizations.

Chand holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is also an IIM Bangalore certified Senior Leadership Coach, a DDI certified facilitator, and a GE certified trainer and facilitator for managerial and leadership skills.

As the founder of HUM Consulting, Chand helps founders and leaders in building great workplaces and scaling-up successfully. He is also a member of the Board of Advisors at Anushruti, IIT Roorkee – a school for hearing and speech-impaired children, and an independent director at Eco Power Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Choice Solutions Ltd., Hyderabad.

Chand has published several papers and articles on various topics, including retention-planning in the ITES Industry. His paper, “PRIYA, Don’t Quit…” was published by the National HRD Network in the book, “Perform or Perish,” and was recognized and implemented as a Best Practice across the ITES Industry in 2003.

Manasi Saxena

Manasi Saxena is a Certified Trainer and Board Member with the Center for Nonviolent Communication, as well as the Founder-Director of enCOMPASSion. Her work focuses on the intersection of personal growth and community development, with a particular emphasis on Value-driven Leadership and Decision-making, Communication, and Empathy. Manasi has provided trainings to a range of organisations, including Peace Corps Nepal, Goonj, Network Intelligence, UNHCR Delhi, Institute for Social Democracy, Save the Children India, Manzil, Katkatha, Indian School of Democracy, and more.

As the Founder-CEO of enCOMPASSion Foundation, Manasi has transformed the organisation from a training firm to a registered Section 8 company responding to the calls of our times. Her involvement in social impact projects has included Emergency Relief efforts in the aftermath of the Delhi communal riots, the Noida Covid Relief Project, Project Warmth, and Project Empathy. She is also a founding member of the Living Bridges Project, which brings skills for empathy, compassion, and collaboration to the social sector in India.

Manasi engages with systems design, empathy in action, empathy for diversity at the workspace, organisational development, leadership, and collaborative systems as a member of the CNVC Board. Her trainings and workshops are interactive, engaging, and informative, and she offers her skills in facilitation of groups, project management, conflict transformation, mediation, leadership, systems change, and capacity building around empathy and diversity for individuals, groups, and organisations. Her core focus is to work closely with communities at the grassroots level to foster a paradigm of sustainability, collaboration, and resilience through community-driven social change. Manasi is a graduate of the University of Delhi and holds an M.Phil. from JNU, New Delhi.
