Noida Covid Relief 2020
March-July 2020

In collaboration with Fidus Law Chambers and GOONJ

The Covid-19 lockdown impacted the lives and livelihoods of thousands of migrant labourers and daily wagers who work across Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad.

Though the Noida Covid Relief 2020 Project, we provided Relief Kits (dry ration, hygiene, and vegetables) to our migrant labourers and daily wagers, in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad. We also respond to SOS calls from some parts of Delhi.

At the close of this project, we reached

  • 27,309 migrant labourers and daily workers with DRY RATION relief kits,
  • 3571 migrant workers travelling home with TRAVEL KITS (non perishable foot items) in June 2020.

We want to express our gratitude for the generosity of our supporters and wellwishers, our partners (Goonj, Fidus Law Chambers), and donors, including Wipro Foundation, and countless individual donors. We are also grateful to the Noida and Ghaziabad Police Departments for their active support in this project.

Project Warmth
December 2020 to January 2021

Winter is a recurring crisis for the most vulnerable urban poor in Delhi/NCR. Every year, hundreds of people die of cold through the winter months.

We are incredibly grateful to have completed PROJECT WARMTH, a Blanket Distribution Project for Winter 2020-2021, in collaboration with Goonj and many others who stepped in with resources, volunteers, and other ways of contribution!

EMERGENCY EMPATHY – March 2020

In the first half of March, we were involved in emergency empathy for collective trauma for those affected by the violence in Northeast Delhi, focusing particularly on a few families impacted by the riots in Gokulpuri. Download our report here.
